Tulane's Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex Expansion

Geoff Block

After leaving a career on Wall Street to manage his family’s investment holdings, Geoff Block launched RLB Squared, a holding firm with a diverse portfolio of dozens of residential and commercial properties. Geoff Block, a graduate of Tulane University, is a generous supporter of the school's athletic programs and frequent donor to the A.B. Freeman School of Business.

Tulane’s Freeman School of Business held the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly expanded Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex two years after the $35 million construction broke ground. The 85,000-square-foot facility will accommodate the university's growing student body, which has swelled to over 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Designed by noted firm Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, the complex has an undulating exterior composed of a wall of Viracon glass. The transparency of the space is intended to encourage collaboration between students, educators, and administrators. The building houses classrooms, an analysis lab, university offices, and an incubator workspace for entrepreneurial efforts.
