After starting March with no wins and six losses, the Knicks announced the signing of forward Troy Williams. The Hoosier alumnus moonlighted with the organization over two consecutive 10-day contracts, locking in a two-year deal covering the remainder of the 2017-18 season and partially guaranteeing next season.

The undrafted rookie free agent averaged 8.1 points, 2.9 boards, and 13.9 minutes in his eight-game stretch with the Knicks. Originally signed by Memphis in 2016, the 6’7”, 220-pound forward out of Indiana University averaged 5.6 points, 2.1 boards, and 16.9 minutes over the span of 34 games with the Grizzlies and Houston Rockets.
The 2017 NBA developmental G League dunk champion played in Rio Grande, averaging 19.8 points, 5.9 boards, 1.9 steals, and 2.2 assists over 19 games in 2017-18.
